Prior to joining Altos Wolfgang ran Apertio's world wide business development activities. He was in charge of major customers wins such as T-Mobile and established tier one partnerships with several OEM partners such as Siemens, Motorola, Mistui. Prior to joining Apertio, he was a partner at DVC Deutsche Venture Capital in charge of DVC's telecommunication and semiconductor practice. He led investments in Apertio and Sigma-C and sold LASOR AG to ISRA AG. Before DVC, Wolfgang worked with TeleSoft Partners a $500+ million Silicon Valley based venture capital firm where he launched various European operations for TeleSoft's US based portfolio companies. Wolfgang started his career at Mannesmann Telecommunications where he held various operational positions in Germany (Mannesmann Eurokom) and France (Cegetel/SFR). Wolfgang holds a MBA and PhD from the University of Munich.

jörg "george" sperling, founder

Jörg "George" Sperling is the founder of Altos Advisors. Mr. Sperling brings with him 7 years of experience as an active Venture Capitalist in Silicon Valley. He co-invested with Silicon Valley's most renowned investors and served on more than 10 company boards. Most recently he was a Managing Director with Ridgewood Capital, a $300M US Venture fund.

Prior to that Jörg Sperling headed Infineon's North American Venture activities, and worked in senior sales and marketing positions at Infineon Technologies both in the US and Germany. In his sales functions he was in charge of customers such as Nokia, Ericsson, Dell, IBM, Compaq and many others. His total sales responsibility was more than $100M US. Mr. Sperling holds a masters degree of Electrical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen and did post graduate research in the field of semiconductors at the Technion Institute of Technologies in Israel and at AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, USA.
